Strongly influenced by black music, funk, and darker roots, Bugsy’s sound moves fluidly between Chicago house and Detroit techno, with a growing dedication to deeper and more obscure shades of both styles. Co-founder and resident DJ of the influential Milan-based party Take It Easy, Bugsy made his debut in 2012 with a collaboration alongside longtime friends Dirty Channels on a release for Josh Wink’s pioneering Ovum label, a project that also featured a version by American producer Pezzner. In 2013 he released Future Light, a standout collaboration with German producer Christian Prommer and UK vocalist Jinadu, released on Fred Everything’s long-standing and respected Lazy Days label. In autumn 2014, Bugsy reached another important milestone with the release of a sultry reinterpretation of Future Light on the German Compost Black Label. In the following years, he teamed up with Italian producer Astroloop for a series of EPs released on the London-based Freerange Records. In 2020, Bugsy marked his first release on his own label Take It Easy, first appearing on the club-focused Pomiri Dan on TIE003, followed by his Love for You EP, featuring remixes by Dirty Channels and Jamie 3:26. Over the years, Bugsy has played at all the major clubs and parties across Italy, further cementing his reputation as a refined and respected selector.
